8M / Radio Tsonami

8M. Radio program. 2017-2018, variable durations. 

8M was a biweekly broadcast radio program. It was carried out from April 2017 to October 2018. Based on sound recordings of the demonstrations during the International Working Women's Day Strike of both years, with the collaboration of Latin American female musicians, producers and sound artists.

An open call was drawn up to which 30 artists from all over the continent responded. Each one was asked to make a sound work where the raw records of the demonstration could dialogue with their own memories and concerns by being part of it. The result was a cartography of ten cities in movement, where public voice, silence and private voice question each other.
