ESTRATEGIAS DE SUPERVIVENCIA / STRATEGIES OF SURVIVAL

Habitar un territorio sonoro cargado de manifestaciones contra la violencia de género, de etnia y de clase, escuchar y evocar, reflexionar. Hasta dónde llega nuestra memoria, de qué forma nos interpela esta lucha, cómo abrir nuevos territorios, cómo sobrevivir a las que ya no están y sostener sus mensajes. Lo íntimo se vuelve compartido y la memoria colectiva.
Realizamos un laboratorio con una instalación sonora cuadrafónica. Luego de escuchar las piezas elegidas, a través de una serie de juegos y ejercicios respiratorios y vocales, construimos colectivamente las estrategias de supervivencia, un nuevo territorio sonoro que fue grabado con la multiplicidad de voces de las participantes y editado en tiempo real.
La espacialización del nuevo territorio, el de las estrategias, generó una nueva escucha colectiva, nutrida por la intimidad y la cercanía. La coralidad de este recién nacido espacio sonoro nos recordó la heterogeneidad de nuestras propias construcciones y encuentros.
Within the framework of the ByteFootage Festival (CCK), the VIVAS collective performed "Survival Strategies", an immersive sound experience produced from audios from the collaborative sound bank.
Inhabiting a sound territory loaded with demonstrations against gender, ethnic and class violence, listening and evoking, reflecting. How far does our memory go, how does this struggle challenge us, how to open up new territories, how to survive those that are no longer there and sustain their messages. The intimate becomes shared and collective memory.
We carry out a laboratory with a quadraphonic sound installation. After listening to the chosen pieces, through a series of games and breathing and vocal exercises, we collectively built survival strategies, a new sound territory that was recorded with the multiplicity of voices of the participants and edited in real time.
The spatialization of the new territory, that of strategies, generated a new collective listening, nourished by intimacy and closeness. The chorality of this newborn sound space reminded us of the heterogeneity of our own constructions and encounters.
